An American Camp Association National Curriculum
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Camp directors with less than five years experience who are interested in learning the fundamentals of camp leadership, risk management, camper behavior, staff training, and staff supervision.
PROGRAM
Have you learned everything you need to know to manage the risk for your campers, staff and parents? Spend the day with two experienced camp directors that will not only inform you, but will entertain you at the same time! Both a Day Camp and Resident Camp Director will share their related experiences and review what needs to be done to get your camp operating at peak performance. From risk management, to leadership styles and camp staff recruitment; we will introduce you to many tools needed to develop yourself and your team. This one day orientation will get you ready, but most importantly, leave you prepared to get started or improve on what is needed in your position. You will also learn to think differently than before and network with colleagues!
This interactive ACA National course provides an overview on key aspects of the camp director's job. Designed to be interactive, the course covers core areas with special focus offered on leadership, risk management, camper behavior, staff training, and staff supervision. Registration coming soon.
